Although originally from Canada, Zoey spent her adolescence on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. During college, Zoey did an internship in broadcast journalism and hosted her own radio show, Island Cafe, featuring news, interviews, and music. After graduating from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, she returned to St. Maarten to teach middle school English, Public Speaking, and Debate at a private American preparatory school. She also served as the high school Yearbook and Newspaper Advisor. After moving to Michigan with her husband, Zoey spent several years in the business sector before deciding to attend law school. Zoey is a Dean Charles H. King Scholar and Jurisprudence Achievement Award winner. Her interests including reading, cooking, and running.
